Growing Girl

Stella, Michael, and I went to the hospital to meet Baby Davis, then afterwards we ate outside at Brixx. Here's Stella's in her big girl high chair! Seeing the new baby only reminded me of how much Stella has grown in the past 6 months! Stella's new friend, Davis Walker. He came on Thursday, May 28, weighing in at 7lbs.11oz. and 20 inches long. Natalie and Paul are now proud parents of 2!

Funny Girl

Stella's new thing lately is sucking on her bottom lip and blowing bubbles. She is so funny...we just love her little personality. She will be 6 months in just a few short days and we are realizing now more than ever that she is our everything. Everyday bring something new and fun like this video, that I just had to share.

May 23 Weekend

Lesley and Steven got married today and Stella was so excited to attend her first wedding! She did such a good job, and had so much fun she drifted off to sleep during the reception for about 20 mintues. As for the rest of the time, she was taking it all in! Faith was the flower girl and nice to the bride. She was so cute in her little dress.

Stella had rice cereal "for real" for the first time today. We tried it about a month ago, and she didn't seem real interested...neither did I. So, we waited a little while to try again, and now we know for sure that she's ready. We also introduced the sippy cup. In the picture she looks a little out of it, but the shot was just taken between a blink. She liked licking on the cup, but wasn't really sure how to get the water out...we'll keep working on this. I can't believe she'll be 6 months in little over a week!

Made with love

Really cute bird shirt Aunt Holly made for Stella. I see lots of these in the future! Thanks Holly!

Some hair bows Tammy made for Stella...so pretty! These are only a few. She made her lots of sizes and tons of different colors. Thanks Tammy, Stella will wear these for years to come!

Dedication

Stella was dedicated on Sunday, May 17 at Second Baptist. I didn't think we would be doing it at 5 1/2 months, but where did the time go? Pa-Paw Bruce prayed a sweet prayer over her, followed by a sermon on the importance of setting a good foundation for your children. After the service, we enjoyed a fabulous lunch prepared by various people. So sweet of all those who were involved!

Me on the day of my dedication. Any resemblance?

Stella looking at her Bible she received after her dedication. I remember taking pictures in front of this window on our wedding day! So sweet.

Family...so special

Fun with Hair Bows!

Stella is so funny. Her hair has been long in the back since the day she was born, and it continues to grow! Here she is with her first set of pigtails! Hilarious! She is almost 6 months old and I can't believe all she can do! Now, all we need is a little hair from the bald spot and we'll be set! :)

Yay for Mother's Day!

Yay for our first Mother's Day! Last year at this time, I was pregnant and barely showing, and now we have sweet Stella in our arms! I can't imagine what it will be like this time next year! Everyday gets sweeter.

My first Mother's Day gifts!

I am on a cupcake kick! I am taking every opportunity to make, or try to make delicious, cute cupcakes. These were to celebrate Mother's Day. They are homemade chocolate with vanilla buttercream icing and grated chocolate on top. This was only the second time I've made them from scratch, so I've got some more practicing to do! I read the recipe 1,000 times, and still mixed some things up, but overall they weren't so bad!

Isle of Palms

Stella had her first beach trip this past weekend. We stayed in Isle of Palms, near Charleston. She didn't get to stay out on the beach for long because the wind was really strong. The nice shade protector wasn't much help at all! Oh well! We took walks every morning just before her morning nap, while she enjoyed the ride! She also ROLLED OVER for the first time while we were there! We were discussing when she might do this, and all of a sudden we looked down, and she did it! Luckily, we had the video nearby and caught it the second time around. What an exciting weekend! I absolutely loved her little bathing suits! She is like my little doll.

Here she is basking in the sun...well, it's 8:30 in the morning and the sun wasn't really out yet, but at least we got a good picture!

My little family :)

5 Months Old!

Stella is 5 months old now! Wow! Her fourth month was full of learning and growing. She has started to sit up on her own for short periods of time, reaching for objects with only one hand, instead of two (sometimes), and giggles and laughs all the time! She has also started playing with her feet in her "spare" time and she's learned that they can go in her mouth as well!
