little changes

For some reason this little change makes me really happy.  I saw some pics on pinterest of some really organized spaces under the sink...although mine wasn't as bad as some...it still needed a little work.

stella, oh stella

Stella is just about the sweetest girl ever. Here are some pics from the past several days around here...

 This shirt and hair bow are her absolute favorite right now....in case you didn't know, purple is her favorite color, so Mimi bought this shirt and bow and let's just say she wore it 3 days in a row...yea, she loves it that much.  The baby she's carrying has been by her side for the past several months now, too...her name was Jesus in December, but for the past month, it's been Stellaluna.  Her teeth are even a little purple in this pic from some grape juice.  Look at those sweet eyes...

 She found her beach chair in the garage and got really excited and somehow she got it inside without me knowing it...the next thing I knew, she was sitting in front of the window enjoying the breeze.  love her.

Valentine Fun :)

Valentine's Day is probably a little overrated, but it's so fun when you have little ones.  I love this day, to be honest.  We did lots of Valentine "school stuff" and celebrating friends.  Here's Stella opening her valentine "package".

Last week we met with a few of our preschool buddies for a craft and story about giving our hearts to Jesus.

And...Michael and I went to Kobe for lunch and I ate way too much, including a veggie egg roll...yea, I'm in love with them now...I think I've thought about it waaay more than anyone should think about an egg roll :)   Happy Valentine's Day!

update on Sawyer, the one year old

Sawyer had his one year check-up today. He weighs 24lbs and 4 oz, and is 31 inches long.  His growth and weight have slowed down a little, now that he's walking and burning more calories.  He has 11 teeth, including 3 molars!  I think he's ready for steak..not really :)   He loves to carry around his microphone..everywhere!  He says Mama and Dada and Bye a lot. He also calls for Daisy and says hello "heww" to answer the phone while holding it behind his ear.  He loves to turn the pages in a book and gets excited when we sit down to read.   He has the sweetest smile and wer're proud to be his mommy and daddy :)

 I know this is pitiful, but he really wanted to eat the rocks and Stella wanted more crackers, so she was smiling :)

another first

Stella had her first gymnastics performance last week.  It was on a Sunday and right in the middle of nap time, so yes, I was a little nervous.  She got a little crazy at times waving to her fans in the crowd, but overall did a fantastic job as a little gymnast. 

Sawyer's first birthday!!

I can't believe he's already one.  I've heard from the beginning that "it flies by with the second one"...but never believed it until now.  It seems like he should be 8 months...that seems about right.  Life is so busy and I'm trying my best to keep up and enjoy this sweet boy that just turned one.
