Let Christmas Break begin!!

Its been great not having to wake Stella up for school, make lunches, or go back and forth to school everyday.  The kids have enjoyed being home and I've enjoyed having them here.... most of the time :)
We started our first round of gifts with friends.
The cutest Police Officer escorted us in.

Not sure why this picture was so much darker...they are all getting so big

The day before Christmas, we did a lot of baking. The sugar cookies made more than I remembered, but they loved using the Christmas cutters and decorating.  They always help me make Grandma Nixon's Pineapple Casserole. It's become a tradition that I love.

Christmas Play 2015

I was so excited when both kids wanted to be a part of the Christmas play.  They had practice on Wednesday's at church and we practiced the songs in the car a LOT. :)  Sawyer was a Shepard, who sometimes used his staff for a weapon, and Stella was a sweet Angel.

Now, if we could talk one of them into being in the Easter Drama..... :)

Stella is 7?

How can Stella be 7?  In a way it seems perfectly right...but other days, it feels like I should still be rocking her to sleep.  We had a "Doll and me" Party and it was everything she hoped for.  Her favorite friends, dolls and cake pops...what else could be better? I love these little moments.

The girls had a Dress Up Station, jewelry making station and the dolls had their very own tea party as well :)

enjoying the season

Right before Thanksgiving we took a trip to a friends Mountain House.  It's always a treat.  The kids were at a good age this year.  They played in the playroom, game room and watched a movie on the really big screen.  It was a nice quick trip.

Some of our little friends invited us to the Billy Graham Teddy Bear Tea Party.  It was fun to be fancy for a little while. :)

All the fireplaces were beautiful.

it's been a month!

How has been month since I've blogged anything?!  Oh well.... :) Things have obviously been busy... Here are a few pics from the last week or so... Thanksgiving programs with sweet songs and lines memorized.  These little moments are so special.

Decorating Gran's tree is one of her favorite traditions.
