Third annual Fall Party

This past Saturday night, we had our third annual fall party/eat fest.  Here's Snow White and "a" seven dwarf waiting for all the fun to happen. At the moment, he was Happy, later, Sleepy. :)

Mom made his costume and I made the beard :) Maybe sewing will actually happen for me in 2013!

Here's the yearly costume shot...take one

take 2...this is all I got- if a better one was taken from someone else, I'll be sure to post :)

Barry giving Sawyer tea....what?!

Levi and Sawyer on the hayride around Triangle Circle :)

Levi and Ben are a big part of our parties...who would know to pull the wagon with the car if they weren't here?  The kids love them.

Here's a picture taken earlier today...the kids didn't sleep well at naptime and I was busy getting things ready for the party, so I chose to sing opera instead of saying the same thing over and over and over....they laughed so hard, I had to take a picture of their big smiles.

Looking forward to more fall fun this week!

I feel like Sawyer has hit a growth spurt the past couple months...I think I'm right.

a busy day

Yesterday was a busy day, but really fun, too. We had a wedding shower, then headed to Karsyn's b-day party at Lewis Farms in Lowell.  It was right at Sawyer's nap time, but I knew he would enjoy the horses and hay bales, so we went full force.
Here's the birthday girl...this was the only picture I got...she's a cutie, even with her eyes closed.

 on the hayride :)

this was one of their favorites- the big slide!

sleepy eyes eating a birthday cupcake...

Audrey and Stella...sweet girls

The lady that took Stella for her ride said she smiled and laughed the whole time.  She said this was her favorite part.

Sawyer enjoyed it too, then on the second lap, he said, "offf" :)

Thanks for a fun party, Karsyn! Happy 3rd birthday!!
Sawyer was asleep by the time we got on the main road. :)

Tweetsie, you're a blast from the past :)

This past Friday was a little chilly, but fun, day at Tweetsie Railroad.  Sawyer's favorite thing right now are trains and Stella has also enjoyed the "new" wonder too, here lately.

can you tell she was a little bit excited :)

  3 brave souls....

Mom and Dad laughing their heads off for no reason on the chair lift... I can only hope that I find random things hilarious as they do... :)

Sawyer LOVING feeding the animals.

Can you tell what Stella's favorite color is?

Happy Fall days, everybody :)

October...

I'm realizing that life is so busy, that I will probably never sit down to do another scrapbooking page "the old way" for the rest of my life.  Having said that, I realize that what I put on my blog is probably the closest thing to documenting our little lives as I'm gonna get.  So, here's to the first of October! :)
Reading time in Sawyer's room.  He's becoming a book lover just as much as Stella was as her age.  His favorite right now is Thomas the Train. Stella's of course is something princess related. :)

Instead of updating "my teaching fix" blog, I've decided to just add a few tidbits of what we do "school" related here...
Our October Bucket List- Stella draws a face on each pumpkin when we've completed the task.  Sometimes she'll ask several times a day what we are going to do that day on our list.  :)

I saw a similar game on pinterest with a haunted house and ghosts to learn sight words...I wasn't crazy about the house, so I came up with a Jack-o-lantern game.  She has to read the word, then she can put in on the pumpkin to create the face.  Her favorite part was playing the teacher...and making me read the word- My favorite part was making up a silly word, then have her tell me how to read. :) Sneaky... :)

A week or so ago, on our weekly trip to Wal-Mart, I surprised the kids and let them pick out one toy (this never happens).  Stella picked out the lego snow white set and sawyer picked out (with my help) some building blocks.  Stella wanted me to take a picture of her snow white. :)
Oh, and she also played with it for 3 hours....only stopping to eat supper...no lie.

Can't wait for more fun October fun times coming up :)

denver days

A little fair comes to the small town Denver area every year.  In the past we've been during the day, but this year we actually got to see the lights and get the real "fair" feel and all, I guess.  :)
Stella absolutely loved the rides...she laughed so hard.  I love this smile.

 Sawyer and Daddy :)

We rode this one a few times...it actually went pretty fast.  The kids just giggled and giggled.  So fun...
