wrapping summer up

We stayed busy and had a lot of slow days, too.  It was great.  I tried to take lots of pictures because I know next year they will be bigger and busier than now.

I grabbed my camera and took a few shots...trying to never forget these sweet faces I sit and watch day after day... (sniff, sniff)

We had a lot of milestones this summer, especially for Stella. She lost her second tooth, learned to swim, learned to tie shoes, and learned to ride her bike with no training wheels.  whew.

The weather hasn't been too bad...we took art outside one day and enjoyed the sun.

Stella and Michael went on thier date to "A Place to Land" Art Studio.  She drew a picture for Ms. Andrea, too :)

haha- Sawyer showing me his teeth :)

a little from August

What would I do without pictures??? I would not remember half of my life!!!
At the beginning of August the Andlers and us went to ZOOtastic. It was a perfect day with the kids before the school year starts.

I was able to meet up with the bang queen, Janelle and her sweet Bennett.  Time just goes to fast and we are always so sad we don't live closer.

Stella, Bennett and Sawyer

Holly got her wisdom teeth removed, so the kids came over to play.  Sawyer and Jensen had some deep conversations.

Stella and Haven had a picnic snack on the frozen fabric :)

We did a little yoga...
...
 and laughed with Daisy

Stella's Kindergarten Countdown... she's really excited!

We went to the eye doctor and Stella found my fake glasses and insisted that she needed them sine her eyes were dilated...

We went bowling with Carter, who also starts K this year!! The mommas were able to talk a lot this time.

I didn't take many pictures at the pool, but we really enjoyed the YMCA pool on those hot days!!

Stella working in her Summer Journal...

We went to visit my old mentor Sandy at North Belmont where I use to teach.  I grabbed a few pictures of my old classroom.... it seems just like yesterday I was doing morning group with a big belly waiting on Stella!

the other side of my old room....

looking forward to new things this fall!!

more of July :)

Michael and I are so blessed to have family nearby to help with the kids.  A few weeks back we went to a new restaurant and tried new things.  The food wasn't our favorite but the atmosphere was really neat.  We did, however, love the sweet potato empanadas ( I think I spelled that right) and the chocolate cake! :)The tables were made from wood slats and the glasses were stainless steel. :)

This was my Risotto...very unique flavor that I could only eat about 6 bites of...

Michael's trout on corn pudding.  He loved the fish but the pudding was super super sweet.

The kids and I tried out Bounce-U a few weeks back.

We had a visit from the Summey boys and got to eat lunch with them at Showmars.  Kristy and I had a good time catching up, too.

The FROZEN book bag arrived and we are all ready for Kindergarten!!

We also went to the park in Belmont and made a trip to the soda shoppe.  Everything we had was delicious.

Doing a little printmaking- a pinterest project using Styrofoam.

To wrap the month up, we celebrated Wendy's b-day at Birkdale. :)
