Fripp Island

This past week we took a vacation to Fripp Island with The Ramseys. Each day we ate breakfast, lotioned up and headed to the beach on our golf cart. Stella loved riding as much as we did. We played in the sand, picked seashells, dumped seashells, built castles, held fish and found time to relax too! Around lunchtime we came in, took our naps, then lotioned up for more sun! After supper, we took bikes rides around the island, had ice cream, and even rode on the beach our last night. Addie and Emma also celebrated their 4th birthday while we were there. We had a beautiful time. Oh, I almost forgot the best/worst part. The first night, my camera dropped from my pocket while riding the golf cart...SMASH! It was ruined from the car behind us who didn't see it in time. So, Jodie and I went to purchase another...something we hadn't planned for, but the new camera is great! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the week.
We'll miss you Fripp Island!

Not one of Stella's hats had a strap to go around her neck, so luckily Jodie sewed some ribbon on her white hat so it would stay put!

there she goes!

Emma, Stella and Addie posing...they had so much fun!

where does she get this skin from?

how sweet is that?

more from our photo shoot :)

our last night, we rode our bikes out on the beach and picked seashells... so peaceful!

Color Smarts

Stella has been showing her smart side lately by sorting colors...after all, her shirt does say she's a smart cookie :) Everything is the color blue these days. Sometimes she'll say green, but she loves to say blue. She can also count to 4, with a little prompting "what comes after 1, and so on..." I'm so proud of her and enjoy watching her learn in so many ways.

A Great Day!

We had a wonderful time walking in the March of Dimes this year! Thank you to everyone who supported our team!

Teachable Moments

I love being a Momma. Here are a few pictures from this past week of some fun things going on around the Bradley house.

We painted with red paint, or Stella looks like she was putting on red lipstick, built a fort, and met some furry friends.

While I was finishing up on supper Friday night, Michael and Stella decided to use everyday items for something a little more fun. I love "spontaneous" play. If was so fun to watch.

Later that night, Michael was working in the yard and came across these little guys! Stella walked around saying "Ra!" for rabbit when they hid under the weeds. There were three of them, and they were SO cute! This is what us teachers would call a "teachable moment". I always loved stopping what I was doing in the classroom, or what I took weeks to plan, for something that "just happened".... kids love and learn so much from these real life moments. Awww :)
