January Winter happenings...

We had our first snow and ice of the season.  It was just right for sledding.  We all had fun but it sure was cold.

They were working so hard to make a snowball.... seriously look like twins here to me. :)

They always look forward to their snowman pancakes on snow days.  I forgot his arms haha

We had a fancy night out at a "big" restaurant. It was very yummy. Stella doesn't look so sure about it but she loved it too :)

Morning sun yoga is the best.

We went to Chick-fil-a Circus night.  The kids had their face painted, of course ;)

Gun fighting is always happening around here.

I'm ready for spring :)

this boy..

This boy has my heart...there is no doubt about it.   He started basketball this month and I think he loves it.

We had some TV time before bed one night and I didn't mind him falling asleep like this while we were watching...

He is getting to be independent...especially with his PB&J sandwiches ;)

He's also into "hunting".  Jake passed down some coveralls and Sawyer was on cloud 9.  I think he's the sweetest thing ever.

He's almost 5... I can't believe how fast those years went by. ..

A Nixon Christmas

We hosted The Nixon Family Christmas at our house this year.  I "up-ed" my decorating a little more than normal, which was fun.

We literally had more deserts than real food, I think.

The little people table...

The little cousins aren't so little anymore!! They all have boyfriends and girlfriends that have actually been in our "family" for over a year now. That makes me old.

All the women in the gift exchange with our gifts.

All the grand kids, missing Scarlett this year.

siblings ;)

Cousins....missing Chris this year.

I was so excited we could get everybody in one big picture!  Grandma Nixon would be so proud.

Christmas isn't complete without the piano.  I remember Grandma playing and everybody singing. Now we have several that play.  Shannon played carols and we all sang to end a wonderful evening.

Looking forward to next year already!

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was nothing but smiles and relaxation.  We were happy that everyone slept until 6:30 this year instead of 4:00am like last year.

I always love getting their little gifts from school.

Trying on some of our new stuff.

We headed to Moms for Christmas breakfast and to open more gifts.

Catching me at the bacon station in my new gear.

Stella and Sawyer have mastered the bow and arrow.

Our new friend ... we're still thinking of a name..

Christmas Eve

We started out Christmas Eve with lunch at Mom's house.  Grandma was able to leave rehab for 4 hours at a time, so we were thankful she was there with everybody.
The 3 little cuties.

Opening presents is the best ;)

The girls with their new dolls :)

Later that evening, we headed to Marilyn's for the Bradley Christmas.  The cousins are getting big!

I thought this was funny.. we were all waiting on the camera to see if the timer was right... who knows what Sawyer was laughing at... haha

Marilyn, Bruce, Aunt Harriett, and Uncle Bobby
Sawyer always loves seeing Bobby because he always wears a Cowboy hat and real boots.

In their "jammers" ready for Santa :)
