Accomplishments and More

Stella turned 15 months on March 1st. Here are just a few things she does on a daily basis...
she likes to twirl to music and loves to dance with anyone willing to be her partner
she goes to the door and says walk...or, when we are in a store while she's riding in the buggy

she sits for 15 minutes sometimes as we read the same book over and over and over and over

she imitates what characters do in books...whether it's putting her hands over her face, waving her hands, clasping her hands together...she's even starting to remember their names..."beh" for Emily Elizabeth in Clifford...

her little personality comes out a little more everyday and she is so sweet

she gets her toys out and when she's done with it, she comes to me and says "back" so that we can put it back where it goes.... (not everytime, but often enough!)

she can put her dirty clothes away in the hamper independently

she loves to kiss the babies on the food jars...

and the list goes on... :)

Here is a video of something she realized she could do...so she did it over and over and over...

Another first!

Ok, so Stella's hair was getting out of control...only one word to describe it..mullet. Not too bad of one, but enough of one, where something had to be done! The back seemed to grow, but the sides weren't quick enough to keep up.
Even the middle in the back was shorter than the sides!??A little crazy here...I had to put it in a ponytail!
The lady was really nice...she blew bubbles for as long as it took for Stella to "warm up". She even turned the magic TV on, but Stella didn't seem as interested. She wanted more bubbles!
Stella chewing on the mirror and eating animal crackers...

almost done...

I have no idea how this lady managed to get Stella's hair this straight with all the wiggling...
side view...so cute !! :)

Cheeeeeese

This is so funny to me. Stella isn't a big fan of table food at supper yet... at least she played with her food, instead of saying in her sweet tone "no", over and over! Macaroni and Cheese should be her favorite, right? Maybe she'll like it another day :)
Michael thought it was funny that I actually rolled her sleeves up before she ate, thinking this would actually help the situation!
A close-up of the hair swooped back with cheese...

February, so far...

Stella has grown up so much in the past several months. She's no longer walking around the house, she's running! She is becoming more independent each day. Her love of reading, however, has not changed! I think we read "The Easter Story" 10 times today. Her new words are beard, bird, no, and ride to name a few.
Here she is in her "reading spot" while I cook supper...maybe it's the natural light that shines through the windows.. :) but, sometimes she gets distracted by the lint in her toes...her favorite new thing to do...very serious...

She also discovered that she likes to Swiffer dust mop the floor :) Mommy's little helper...She literally pushed it around the house for a good 5 minutes.
Coloring a picture...maybe Cupid or the Easter Bunny will bring more art stuff soon... :) As you can tell her hair is getting longer in the back... Mom showed me a picture of myself when I was Stella's age and my hair was the EXACT same way! I'll have to post a picture soon...

Off to church on Sunday :)
