Pattersons

A few weeks back we went to Patterson's Pumpkin Patch for our annual field trip.  We went on a hayride, played, picked a pumpkin, stuffed a scarecrow, fed animals, and had a lot of fun on the hay
slide.

My two fall buddies :)

the gang- let's don't talk about how some of them will be in Kindergarten next year at this time...

Sawyer's favorite- the hayride

Body Attack

A few months ago I went to training to become a Les Mills Body Attack instructor.  It was on my list of life goals...to pass training and survive.   It was a 2 day training in Charlotte.  The first day we "practiced" choreography and 'form' over and over and worked together to dissect what Body Attack is all about.  The second day we did physical challenges that made us all thinking why we even attempted to have lunch...if you know what I  mean.  We rotated in stations and had to perform different exercises in the correct form until the timer was called.  It was very challenging.  We also had to do a test run on a few tracks from the release we were to be studying. After the training, we found out if we passed or failed.  I passed, so this meant I had a certain number of days to learn the whole release and teach it to a class from start to finish, without stopping...60 minutes. With the help and critique from my gym friends who had already gone through the training, I PASSED!!
Here we are at LKN fitness co-teaching the new release with a great group of gals (and a few guys) in pink! :)

Corie....my hero for sticking it out with me and helping me pass- could NOT have do it without her! :)

CHOO CHOOOOO!!!

A few weeks back we headed to the mountains for a fun day at Tweetsie Railroad!  The weather was perfect and the company was even better.

On the train...Sawyer's favorite part

Sawyer wanted to be brave like Stella, but halfway through the ride started crying :(  He said for the rest of the week.."the derris wheel wasn't my daverite (favorite)

Stella's face after she fed the goats... hahah! :)

Yay for fall :)

painting pumpkins

I was changing out my Grandma's Nixon's paintings when Stella started asking questions about who painted it, and if he/she was an artist, etc.  After our conversation, she said, "I think I need to paint that...I think she painted the purple mountains first, then waited for them to dry, then painted the white on top."

This was her final product...she told me she didn't want the trees...she liked it just the way is was. :)

Grandma Nixon would be so proud. :)
