Celebrating Bruce

A few weeks back we celebrated Bruce's b-day.  Birthdays are extra special considering the news he got several years back.  We are thankful for what a miracle he is!

Trying to get a picture with silly Sawyer. I hope they always laugh together.

The first day

Sawyer was ready for preschool...that is for sure.  We went to meet the teacher the week before the first day, and he didn't want to leave.  I am so proud of this little boy.  I know he is going to love it.

Stella was excited too.  Those special first days are just that...special. I love how sweet their little attitudes can be when they experience something new.

the fun continues

The gang went to Dan Nicholas Park again this year and had a great time, as always.

These two have loved playing together lately. I never get tired of hearing Jovie's little voice.

These little people have 3 mommas that are gonna make sure they steer straight.  I'm thankful for that.

We had our small group cookout at Rankin Lake in Gastonia. We'd never been, but it was super fun!

Getting together for one more play date before school started...

Making code messages.

We even got to go to Great Wolf Lodge for a day. Thanks to Janelle for sharing the love with the day passes, we went a lot cheaper than normal.

more pics from the summer :

We were blessed to have a good friend pass tickets along to us to The Monster Truck show this year!  Sawyer was super excited.  It was really fun.

I took a pano pic with my phone- I prob should use this more often.

Anytime Sawyer is wearing his cowboy boots, with jeans and a button down...on a farm... makes me smile.

Sweet Paisley at her precious baby dedication.

Stella's first trip to the American Doll Store.  She was in heaven.  She wanted her picture with all the Julie's.

Sawyer's first BB Gun :)

Making people with all the fruit and veggies lying around.  I thought these carrot legs were hilarious.

Michael made a fort to sleep in on movie night...that no one slept in.

Doing therapy with Grandma at rehab. She's enjoyed the visits and phone calls. We miss her around here.

a little more from summer...

We had lots of planned days, but we loved our days at home, too.

Campmeeting is our favorite spot for 2 weeks out of the year, even if the the toys from The Shack break in .5 seconds after purchasing them....

Uncle Danny's homemade ice cream never gets old.

We had our first trip to the ER this summer. Stella was holding Lacey when she was excited... in just the right spot.  She nipped her just enough to cause a lot of bleeding.

She was a trooper and got to stay up really late that night... we don't want to do this again for a long time!

I am so proud of how far Sawyer has come with his name this summer. He is ready for preschool.

Virginia Creeper Trail

Back in July we went camping for the first time ever with Wes, Jodie and the girls.  Thankfully, the weather was great...not too hot, not too cold. It rained a little early Saturday morning, but it was still really fun.  Sawyer and Addie used their knives to sharpen sticks.

A little coloring in the tent before bedtime.

Along the river were lots of areas to stop and play...

Our little tent :)

Stella and Emma playing cards

The views were really pretty along the trail :)

I was so proud of Stella for riding the entire 17 miles on her own.  Sawyer rode a tag-along bike, but he could still pedal, so it was perfect.  Such a fun weekend!
