Ever since Stella watched "American Ninja Warrior" she's been doing more "tricks" around the house. This is her favorite, so far....jumping off the swing and landing. :)

a whole bunch of randomness
We marked off another Summer wish...putt-putt! We've gone by the big giraffe and elephant several times, so they were real excited to actually get up and close.
Stella so excited after her hole-in-one!
balls on the trampoline equals fun and me wondering why I haven't thought of this before...
Sawyer's favorite thing to do....besides eat...
Stella making up her bed
Stella's drawing of Sawyer :) I like his ears.
We made self portraits one day :)
Water balloons the next. Just enough water to stay cool :)
After a trip to Nena's, Sawyer had his first ice cream cone (yes, he's had ice cream before...but he normally wants it in a cup). She asked me to take a picture...I'm glad she did
I'm hoping for a few other special trips before Fall really comes :)

sew sweet
Stella has been on a sewing kick lately. We've had the sewing machine down for several months now, but finding the time to do something new is always hard. So, one day during nap time, Mom came out to show me a few basics. Stella was so proud of me (of sewing one straight line). Later that week, she went to Grandma Spencer's and let her in on her new hobby...so grandma sent her home with a basket full of sewing "stuff". Long story made short...she insisted that I sew her doll a new dress...things got quiet and I came in the kitchen to find that she had already been cutting her doll out an outfit with some of the fabric from Grandma's house. She was so sad that she couldn't figure out how to get it done, so I tried my best and while Sawyer was still asleep, I made my first doll dress. :) The smile on her face was priceless.

her own book
Stella wanted to make a book a few weeks back...I felt horrible that I had not suggested this to her sooner than now, knowing how much she loves books. She wanted to cut the sheets to a certain size, then wanted the rings instead of ribbon because it turned easier.
This is a picture of me and our house (I wore my red hat a lot that particular week)
One of these is Mimi's house...I can't remember which one :)
There are a few other drawings so far... I think it's the sweetest thing ever :)

all smiles
My uncle Mackie has been in the hospital off and on for months, now. Recently, it's been worse, but we are praying for peace and new lungs. Last week, Aunt Pat came to visit and as you can tell, the kids were happy to see her. She always tells stories and pretends to be "Little Edith" who always gets into mischief. The kids loved it.
On my way out, I decided to take a picture of what we walk over so many times... a concrete slab of mine and Chris' hand prints and those in the family. I was 6 years old. :)
The smiles continued when Holly, Wendy and I went to Rock Barn Spa for Wendy's birthday. I am still in shock that this place hasn't been a part of my life before now. I guess having babies keeps you busy. Here we are when we first arrived. We enjoyed the pools, hot tubs, had lunch and even a massage.
There were a couple indoor pools...here's Holly and Wendy under the hot waterfalls.
in our robes after the sauna...
Relaxing...
On our way out...if you can't tell in the picture, we are totally relaxed and looking forward to walking through those doors again real soon.
