I am currently 16 weeks pregnant... the same time a lot of girls/women have abortions. Words cannot describe how that makes me feel inside.
Just a few statistics:
- Gaston County's teen pregnancy average is higher than any other county in NC
- In 2008 there were 443 abortions, just in Gaston County alone
- The Crisis Pregnancy Center in Gastonia performed 283 ultrasounds to ladies considering an abortion.
- The exciting part: In 2009 49 ladies accepted Christ, and 50 have already accepted him as Savior so far in 2010! That makes me want to cry.
So...this coming September 10th, our family will be supporting the Crisis Pregnancy Center at the Walk for Life on Robinson Road in Gastonia.
All money donated goes towards all the wonderful ministries this organization offers, such as
- free pregnancy testing,
- maternity and baby clothes
- abstinence education
- ultrasounds
- information about abortion, fetal development, and parenting, just to name a few...
